一、 竹筒饭
Bamboo rice
kāizhāijié láilín qián, bàba zài wǒmen huíxiāng. túzhōng, wǒmen bùshí kànjiàn lùpáng qīng yān zhènzhèn yuánlái shì xiǎofàn ránshāo cháihuo, zhìzuò zhútǒngfàn. zhǐbǎn shàngyòng mǎláiwén xiě zhe“ zhútǒngfàn” hé“ gān kāli jī”.
开斋节来临前，爸爸载我们回乡。途中，我们不时看见路旁轻烟阵阵原来是小贩燃烧柴火，制作竹筒饭。纸板上用马来文写着“竹筒饭”和“干咖哩鸡”。

一般上，制作竹筒饭不宜用煤气，而是以柴火烧烤。制作竹筒饭并不简单，小贩得先砍下竹子，然后在竹筒內围一圈香蕉叶，以防糯米饭粘在竹筒壁上。接着，倒入糯米、椰奶和盐，最后才用柴火烧烤。
Generally speaking, it is not appropriate to make bamboo rice with gas, but with wood fire barbecue. Making bamboo rice is not easy, hawkers have to cut down bamboo, and then in the bamboo barrel around a circle of banana leaves, in order to prevent rice sticking to the bamboo barrel wall. Then, pour in the rice, coconut milk and salt, and finally grill with firewood.

烤熟后的米饭浓香扑鼻，不必搭配任何酱料，吃起来也让人唇齿留香。有些人则喜欢用辛辣的咖哩搭配竹筒饭。竹筒饭深受各族人民喜爱，而且价钱合理，一般民众都负担得起。

除了马来人外，我国的伊班族、卡达山族等也会制作竹筒饭。他们在庆祝丰收节和举办婚宴时，会以竹筒饭招待宾客。
